First Choice Drug Testing

Keeping drugs out of the workplace is an ongoing struggle for employers, and pre-employment urinalysis testing is the most common method used to screen new hires. Employees should also be instantly tested after a workplace accident or at a properly trained supervisor’s discretion if he or she suspects an employee is under the influence. First Choice is proud to be Arkansas’ most trusted third-party administrator, and we offer every conceivable lab test at our southwest Little Rock testing center. We offer conventional urine testing during regular business hours (Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CDT), with no appointment necessary. And if that’s not convenient enough for you, we also offer oral fluid testing kits, which enable you to collect a sample onsite under direct supervision!

An increasing number of companies have made the switch to oral testing, for many good reasons. Here are just a few of the benefits of oral fluid testing, and we’re a phone call away whenever you have any questions or would like to order testing supplies:

Onsite specimen collection. If a donor is going to attempt to tamper with their sample, they’re most likely to do so on their way to take their test. Additionally, if you suspect an employee is under the influence, another employee will have to drive him or her to the lab. Oral fluid collection takes place onsite under direct supervision and also eliminates gender-based collection issues or potential invasions of privacy.

Increased detection of recent drug use. One of the limitations of urinalysis and hair testing is that they test for drugs the donor has already digested and processed. Oral fluid testing is more effective at detecting recent use, enabling employers to assess what’s currently in the donor’s system when the specimen is collected.

Results in minutes! You’ll use instant testing devices to get your initial results in as few as 5-10 minutes. We keep a Medical Review Officer (MRO) on staff to verify all testing results, and you can choose to send in all samples or only non-negatives to our lab for confirmation.
