First Choice offers pre-employment physicals to ensure your new hires can get right to work!
No matter what industry you’re in, it’s a safe bet you experience more employee turnover than you like. It’s always difficult to lose trusted employees, and the workload can stack up as you desperately search to replace them. However, that doesn’t mean you can afford to be hasty, and it’s crucial to ensure that your new hires are drug-free and physically capable of doing the job. First Choice is Arkansas’ most trusted third-party administrator, and we proudly offer any conceivable type of lab test, as well as pre-employment physicals!
We have an experienced Medical Review Officer (MRO) on staff to interpret and verify all test results and offer lightning-fast turnaround time on all testing results. We offer fit-for-duty examinations to help you comply with worker’s compensation requirements, and we also offer respirator fits, pulmonary function tests, medical clearances, audiograms, and blood draws. Here’s a look at a few types of physicals that we offer at our southwest Little Rock clinic, and we’re always a phone call away when you’re ready to schedule an appointment!
Fit-for-Duty or NON-DOT Physicals-A fit-for-duty examination helps you ensure that your new hires are physically capable of doing the work and medically fit to return to duty in the event of a workplace accident. It also helps you document the injuries you “inherit” with each new hire to protect your company from frivolous workers’ compensation claims.
DOT Physical Exams-We love partnering with transportation companies and can deliver same-day results on all DOT physicals! We work hard to issue a 2-year card whenever possible and will never order unnecessary (and costly) procedures.
FAA Flight Physicals-Dr. Jim Bryan is one of the only physicians approved to perform 1st Class FAA Flight Physicals in Little Rock, and we’re just a short drive from the Little Rock National Airport (LIT).
HAZMAT Physical Exams–The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires employees exposed to hazardous materials to be tested at least annually to ascertain employee health and to ensure there have been no changes that would indicate exposure. A HAZMAT physical might also include chest X-rays, blood and urine samples, heart and lung function tests, auditory tests, and other testing deemed necessary by the reviewer.
