There’s nothing like getting a new job, but no one looks forward to taking the drug test. Even though you have nothing to hide, it’s perfectly natural if the thought of wandering into a lab and producing a specimen on demand is a little awkward! But it doesn’t make the test any less inevitable, and it will be over with before you know it! And you’ll be in great hands the moment you walk through the front door at First Choice!

We’re open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and you don’t need an appointment to take your pre-employment drug test. Most of the time, we can have you in and out in 15 minutes or less, but you might experience slightly longer wait times if you arrive between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

You should bring a photo ID when you come in to test, and be sure to arrive properly hydrated. You’ll need to be prepared to void .45ml (approx. 2 ounces), and no outside food or drink is allowed. We’re only allowed to provide up to 40 ounces of water, and only after your first attempt to void is unsuccessful. The first thing you’ll do when you arrive is to sign a collection protocol form, and the testing process will officially be underway. If you leave our lab for any reason without providing a specimen, it will be considered a refusal to test with the same consequences as a positive result.

Individuals who come in to test are pleasantly surprised at how easy the process is and we offer industry-leading turnaround time on all testing results. We keep a Medical Review Officer (MRO) on staff to verify the accuracy of all test results, which are typically delivered to the employer or requesting agency in one or two business days.
