We had a donor come to our clinic this past August and he presented our collector synthetic urine. We see a lot of synthetic urine around here; it can be easily bought on the internet (Google “urine luck”). We see so much of it we can usually spot it as soon as the donor is exiting the bathroom with the cup in their hand. We told this donor we could not accept the specimen, and his second attempt was also synthetic. After speaking to the employer, they directed us to do a third collection directly observed. When we informed the donor the next attempt would be observed he became very agitated.

He was very vocal in our waiting room exclaiming his innocence to anyone in the building that would listen. He threatened the staff repeatedly that he was going to call his lawyer. He was on the phone to various people telling them how he was being discriminated against and again claiming to whomever he was talking to that he was going to call his lawyer. On several occasions he threatened to leave the clinic, which we hoped he would do ending this drama.

He made another phone call again telling the person on the other end he was going to call his lawyer, that’s when our collector heard him say the person on the phone in a very quiet voice “find me a lawyer”!

He finally gave us a directly observed specimen which appeared to be very dilute. I am not sure what the outcome was as we did not process the test results for this client.

We hear the threat “I am going to call my lawyer” a lot around here by cheaters, many even ask for the owners contact information which we gladly provide. To date no lawyer has ever contacted us; that’s because there’s no discrimination and no legal recourse.

If the clinic that does your drug testing doesn’t ever hear “I am going to call my lawyer” then cheaters are getting away with it. If you don’t want to hire or promote cheaters allow First Choice to be your drug testing clinic!
