Cheaters Always Get Busted

We do a lot of testing for the legal world; most are for custody battles. Many Judges and Lawyers trust First Choice to provide accurate results in a timely manner. Many of them have used us for years and regularly we share our knowledge and sometimes even our testimony in their court rooms.

One of our regular law firm customers sent us a drug test result we produced for a defendant some time ago; it was a negative result we produced, but it had a fictitious date that did not match our record on file. The lawyer had been suspicious, hence the reason he reached out to us.

As we investigated further, we realized the defendant had come to our office a week earlier asking many, many, questions about our records, how long we keep them, and who has access to them. It turns out the defendant took our result, doctored up the date, and presented it to the law firm as a recent test.

A word of advice, never accept a drug test record from the person that took the test. In today’s digital world you can create just about anything if you’re computer literate or know a teenager who is. Always demand that these records come directly from the testing facility. It baffles me how many entities accept drug test records directly from the donor.
